Dre Perez
Founder
Dre Perez was raised in a family that taught him the importance of “hands-on” work from an early age.
Working close to the land, he learned the value of deep roots, commitment and caring; not just about the work but also about the people with whom he shared it. He learned life lessons that continue to allow him to have a special appreciation for those who may have less, or be facing bigger challenges. In the process, Dre also developed an appreciation for the importance of making a difference that matters.
His first ride was a 1984 four-door Buick LeSabre that he outfitted with 13 x 7 Supreme Chrome Rims from a swap meet in Des Moines. A $200 paint job later, his metallic black ride was ready for cruising. Later, the Buick was replaced by a 1979 Monte Carlo. A model that to this day remains one of his favorites. It was a car that was a good fit for getting into trouble, but not the future Dre was hoping for. So, the Chevy moved out and a pinstriped midnight blue Cadillac Fleetwood Brougham with hydraulics took its place in the garage and on the street.
Cars that are special, the people who own them, and a love to cruise in them, belong in a Car Club.
After sifting through a couple of car clubs and discovering they were not a good fit for what he had in mind, Dre came to the realization that God had placed on his heart the need for a car club that would bring people together to make an important difference in the community by serving those in need.
Leslie Garcia
PRESIDENT
Growing up, Leslie was always surrounded with many different types of cars. She learned from an early age the love of all cars, especially lowriders. “I remember growing up, every weekend was filled with car shows and cruising though downtown Seattle late into the night.” Leslie says, “Today it’s still the same thing, all summer long”.
She now owns her very first lowrider, a 1982 Chevy Monte Carlo, that she has slowly been working on to get it show ready.
She also learned from her parents—the founders of LordRiderz—the importance of giving and making an impact in her community. This aspect, as important to her as the cars, forged a passion for the community and its people.
“Seeing the joy and smiles in people we bless always leaves me with a such a warm feeling. It’s always worth the work.”
Today, as president, Leslie is heavily involved in all events hosted by LordRiderz, making sure that every part, from logistics to the genuine interaction with people, is done with passion.
